Another Great Year~ Light Up Ocala

Seemed like all of Ocala was out today. “Light Up Ocala” was absolutely awesome! It was bigger and better than ever before. However, it was pretty windy and chilly… Floridians just do not like the cold! Yes, I know, we are pretty spoiled!

I heard that John Travolta was part of the crowd…. of course I did not get to see him… oh well, maybe next time.

The extended blocks this year seemed to give the crowd much more breathing room. Check out the pictures below, and next year be sure come and be a part of the fun.

Light Up Ocala~

The 29th annual Light Up Ocala

festival is scheduled this year,

Saturday, November 17th from

4:00 to 9:00 pm

Happening at the Downtown Square and extending to the newly opened Citizens Circle. The crowds grow bigger and bigger each year with an estimated attendance to exceed 20,000 participants. Because of the large crowd this year they are also extending the event to one block north of the square.

This is an exciting Ocala holiday tradition that’s  fun for the entire family. There will be live entertainment, activities, vendors, horse and buggy rides, pedicabs and way too many fun things to list. You must  come down to experience all the fun for yourself!

The lighting of the tree will begin at the traditional 7:30 PM.

What to expect from a Four Point Inspection

Four Point Inspections~ When should you have one?

Most Insurance companies require a Four Point Inspection if a home is 30 years old or older (sometimes 25 years and older depending on insurance companies).

What  does the 4 Point Insurance Inspection Cover?

All 4 Point Inspections include a limited scope evaluation of the following four most specific systems and components:

  • Roof –Verifies the condition of the roof, as well as the approximate year the roof might need to be replaced (remaining life of roof expectancy)
  • Plumbing –what kind of piping (copper, plastic etc.) is being used, dates if the system has been upgraded, any leaks or flaws and information about the hot water heater
  • Electrical System – What size of the main service, any dangerous wiring, dates of any upgrades, make of the electric panel, and if there is any aluminum wiring
  • Heating and Air Conditioning –Installation date, approximate life of the unit, and if the system is functioning correctly

It is important to remember that this is a limited visual inspection and does not replace an home inspection.  All potential HOME BUYERS SHOULD ALWAYS HAVE A FULL HOME INSPECTION!
